New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the success of Brooklyn`s Gun Court--where only felony firearms-possession cases are tried--will be expanded to Queens and The Bronx next month. The pilot program, which began last April, has one judge and deals with cases from five Brooklyn precincts where gun violence is prevalent. It`s credited with almost erasing probationary sentences and sending most culprits to jail for at least a year.
