"High Society" Types Sued Over Anti-Gun "Bracelets"

As the saying goes, "you can't make this stuff up."

A lawsuit has been filed in Manhattan against a multi-millionaire and his activist wife, over the profits—if there are any—from the sale, by Everytown and Moms Demand Action, of the "Everytown X Urban Zen" bracelet, basically an ugly leather wrist-belt imprinted with a gun control slogan.

The New York Post reports that former Goldman Sachs executive J. Michael Evans and his activist wife are being sued for $5 million by a woman who claims she designed the bracelets and that the Evanses "hijacked" her idea out of "sheer greed or malice."

The bracelet-peddling is a joint venture of the Evanses and multi-billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Evans may not have Bloomberg's dough, but in 2012 he was reported to have held $75 million in Goldman stocks and to have bought a $27 million apartment in New York City. With that kind of money, you’d think Bloomberg and Evans could just give away their tacky bracelets for free.
