Over the past four years he’s spent upwards of $70 million to boost his chosen candidates and pet causes, including gun control. He debuted Independence USA PAC in 2012 and Everytown for Gun Safety in 2014. As for whether he intends to run for political office again or not, the jury’s still out: He commissioned a secret poll to find out whether he’d be a viable presidential candidate in 2016.
